How The Tournament Works
Origins of the Tournament
RT7s started in 2012 between rugby programs in the US Armed Forces at Infinity Park in Glendale, CO.
Year after year, the amount of participants grew and soon after, teams from around the world travel to Glendale, CO to compete in one of the arguably best 7s rugby tournaments in the world.

Friday thru 1st Half Saturday
Each team is grouped in 1 of 4 pools, with 5 teams in each pool — Pool A. Pool B. Pool C. Pool D. See the “teams” section in the RugbyTown USA app for this year’s team groupings.
The first of half of the tournament will be the Pool Stage. How a team performs in pool play determines their seed and path in the Knock-out Stage. Through the knock-out matches, the Cup Champion is crowned.

Knock-Out Stage
2nd Half Saturday thru Sunday
CUP TIER
The 1st and 2nd teams from each pool will advance to the CUP TIER playoffs for the $10,000 PURSE. The winner of the Cup Tier is the Cup Champion and tournament winner. The Final Cup match is the 62nd match of the tournament and last match on the 3rd day.
BOWL TIER
The tournament isn't over for those not in the Cup Tier. The 3rd and 4th teams advance to the Bowl Tier, where they duke it out for their Silverware. Pitch Cred is what it's all about!

Pick-Up Location
Instructions for credential pick up will be emailed to you upon approval of your application. Valid photo identification is required for credential pickup. An individual cannot pick up more than one credential, even if the additional credential(s) is/are for members of the same organization.
Parking
Please park in the lots designated as P1 or P4. A shuttle will run between the P4 lot and Infinity Park.
Policies
In addition to the Infinity Park stadium policies, please note that only working media over the age of 18 will be issued a credential.
